Today, we’d probably call Louie Mattar obsessive-compulsive. With a goal of absolute non-stop driving, he built his 1947 Cadillac into quite the road warrior, including a shower, a complex on-to-go tire-changing system and a combination toilet/washing machine (no, don’t ask). Thirty years ago, though, obsessive-compulsive wasn’t in the popular lexicon, and Bob Loeffelbein praised Louie’s Cadillac for SIA #53, October 1979.
