And unlike many other modern automotive innovations, the inclusion of power steering in automobiles can more or less be traced back to one man, Francis W. Davis, who for a span of four decades made it his life’s goal to get power steering to work in an automobile. Maurice Hendry related Davis’s story is SIA #49, February 1979.
